Chongqing Cummins Engine Co., Ltd (CCEC) is a joint venture between China and the United States. It was founded in October 1995 and is located at the martyr's tomb in Shapingba District, Chongqing. The Chinese parent company is Chongqing Electrical and Mechanical Co., Ltd. and the foreign parent company is Cummins (China) Investment Co., Ltd. of the United States. The investment proportion of both sides is 50%. There are more than 1400 employees. Chongqing Cummins, whose predecessor is Chongqing Automotive Engine Factory, has been designing and manufacturing diesel engines since 1950s.

Chongqing Cummins is the starting point of Cummins'localization production in China, and is Cummins' largest heavy-duty and high-power engine manufacturing plant in China. In 1981, Cummins formally signed a licensing agreement with the former China Heavy Truck Group, and began to produce Cummins high-powered diesel engine in Chongqing. After years of development, bilateral cooperation has been deepening. Chongqing Cummins has been an important driving force for Cummins'rapid growth in China.

Chongqing Cummins produces engines with power cover range from 200HP to 1600HP.
